solutions for the Thermoforming industry
Multiax, manufacturer of high-tech and reliable

developing a new 5 axis maching center series particularly fit for fast
and accurate maching of complex 3D surfaces, very common in the plastic
industry.
The T Series features specifications and programming
systems extremely fit for typical machings of thermoformed materials. The easy
to use programming system and the CNC technology are uniquely balanced to provide
high speed cutting with precision and repeatability, but also fast CAD/CAM programming,
and fast dust and scraps removal (manual drawers or conveyors).
The most frequent operations performed by the thermoformers are the high speed
cut, trimming and boring.
A wide range of options and integrative units are also available for higher
customisation rates and to solve other crititical operations.
Among those, there are:
· different loading/unloading solutions
· a wide choice of automatic clamping systems
· workpiece detection system (lasers or probing devices)
· selection of spindles, each addressed to specific needs
· different dust extraction solutions, in function of the type of material
machined.
Multiax T Series can be further integrated in
the process to machine
also alluminum alloys molds for the thermoformers. In these cases the
machine impact on productivity could reduce time-to-market of thermoformed
parts down to 30% of the normal time. The process to
machine the mold on the same machine can be extremely fast, thanks to the
same CAD/CAM system used for trimming the thermoformed part.
