The UPT gives great economicity to manufacturers
using this production technique. The actual way of using this technique is to
put a highly transpirant
and porous materialfunctioning as a large clamping surface.
The workpiece to be nested is put on this clamping surface. Of course the edge
of the tools can route thebleeder board, rouining it slightly.
This kind of routing through the workpiece can be done more then once, until
the clamping countertable is ruined by several routing passages and the surface
is not flat enough to secure a firm clamping and holding surface.
With the UPT, however this method is not needed anymore: the system is composed
by a system of Pop-Ups, one close to the other, all forming a cups flat clamping
surface. There are also three series of backstops on the lower-left corner of
the tables, for positioning purposes, like in the PQT case.
The NAM is managed perfectly by the UPT. The MDF foil is put on the UPT, covering
all the table area. With the help of the software Multinest,
the rows of cups where the tools have to saw and/or route can be excluded staying
low and inactive.
