Reducing
set-up times is more than an issue for competitive manufacturers, today. One
second less for changing tools can be an important improvement, but most of
the improductive time in the facories is due to all the operations necessary
to set-up the machine. Than, the less standardised the product, the higher the
incidence of down-times in production costs.
At Multiax we have been experimenting and studying innovative clamping systems
to improve performances and reducing down-times. Many applications has been
definitely improved through our clamping systems and special devices, and the
choice to invest in this direction helps us to increase the performances of
Multiax CNC routers.
These clamping systems are studied to be eventually integrated in wider automatic
Loading/Unloading cells.
