The perfect closed cell CNC 5 axis machining center
Multiax has developed a 5 Axis Milling Center Model for fast and accurate machining of complex 3D surfaces which is generally used in the plastic and composites industry. The T Model is productive, reliable, and easy to use. It is built to exceed the customer’s expectations.
This is possible thanks to the rigid construction frame and the mechanical components which lead to greater axis squareness, speed and positioning accuracies. The mechanical structure has been tested with Finite Element Analysis software to simulate extreme stress and heavy usage and also to check the base sturdiness.
This machine comes in different work cube sizes and also has a high frequency liquid-cooled spindle which has been designed to be versatile and capable of articulating around and under complex 3D forms. Its modular architecture allows for different configurations, each addressed to diversified production needs.

Single table - (with two independent areas, for loading/downloading inside the enclosure with removable panel to separate the working area from the open area Twin Tables - (for loading/unloading outside the enclosure) Revolver type table - (for loading/unloading outside the enclosure) Wide choice of standard and custom table surfaces (metal grid, vacuum Bakelite, machined aluminum, aluminum with steel T-slots, flat steel with slots, etc.)
Electrospindles
Trimming Version (9kW@36,000 rpm) Particularly addressed to the plastic section is characterized by a power curve with max peak at higher rpm. The typical operations include edge trimming, contouring, cutting of plastic and composite materials.
Pattern Version (10-12kW @ 24,000 rpm) A sturdy version with more power at lower operating speed, very compact design has been studied for general routing operations on 3D surfaces, important asportations, to be used with wider diameter tools, engineered mainly for machining composite advanced materials, FROPs or hard wood.
Heavy Duty (16-18kW @ 24,000 rpm) Very sturdy spindle, has been studied for milling, drilling operations on very hard reinforced polymer materials or composite/alloy compounds (CFRP/Al).
Ancillary devices:
oil-mist unit, touch probe, laser scanner to import 3D surfaces, pressurized way covers for dust protection
